Networking Field Tour: Chattahoochee Fall Line

Anchored by Fort Benning, the Chattahoochee Fall Line region is a major hub of longleaf pine restoration, freshwater habitat conservation, and at-risk species recovery. The tour will highlight partner conservation efforts to buffer Fort Benning from incompatible uses, restore longleaf pine habitat, and recover at-risk and listed species, including the federally endangered red-cockaded woodpecker. The Chattahoochee River is a major water feature of the region and partners will discuss efforts to improve habitat connectivity and water quality for wildlife and people.

This year’s field tour format has been expanded from previous Stewardship Partners Meetings to provide more time for field-based learning and networking. Breakfast and lunch will be provided.
