Jonathan Murphy is a Partner with Fortif Law Partners, LLC in Birmingham, Alabama and serves as an adjunct professor at Birmingham Southern College, where he teaches Entrepreneurial Thinking.

Prior to becoming an attorney, Jonathan was the founder and director of an international nonprofit that partnered with community leaders to deliver adult education and economic development opportunities in rural communities throughout Uganda and the Democratic Republic of the Congo, where he lived for nearly five years.

Jonathan's years of community development work have already proven valuable to his economic development, nonprofit, and business practice in the United States.
Since 2018, Jonathan has helped raise over $70 million for Alabama nonprofits and was identified as a 2020 Rising Star of the Law by the Birmingham Business Journal.
