Command Sergeant Major Paul Bell

Command Sergeant Major (CSM) Daniel Paul Bell enlisted in the Alabama Army National Guard in December 1989. He completed Cavalry Scout (19D) Initial Entry Training at Fort Knox, Kentucky in August 1990. CSM Bell currently serves as the Battalion Command Sergeant Major for the 22nd Recruiting and Retention Battalion (22nd RRB), Alabama Army National Guard, Montgomery, AL.

John B. Calhoun

John B. Calhoun, III is the fleet drill and exercise coordinator for Southern Nuclear and serves as the president of VetNet.

John served 23 years in the U.S. Air Force in the Healthcare Administration career field, retiring as a Master Sergeant in 2008.

John started his civilian career at D.C. Cook Nuclear Plant in Bridgman, Mich., in Emergency Preparedness. Since joining Southern Nuclear in 2015, he has worked in the nuclear Fleet Emergency Preparedness Department. His primary responsibility is overseeing the drill and exercise program for the Southern Nuclear fleet.

Dana Claburn

Dana Claburn serves as senior vice president and senior production officer for Southern Power, a subsidiary of Southern Company. Southern Power is America's premier wholesale energy partner, meeting the electricity needs of municipalities, electric cooperatives, investor-owned utilities and other energy customers with one of the fastest growing clean energy portfolios in the U.S. In this position, Claburn oversees the operations of more than 13,500 megawatts of generating capacity across the country.

Claburn joined Southern Company in 1987 as a student engineer in Oneonta, Alabama. After graduation, she worked at NASA in Huntsville, Alabama, before rejoining Southern Company as an engineer in 1991. She has worked in an engineering capacity on the Hatch nuclear project and in system planning. She also served as project manager in generation development, as coal logistics supervisor in fuel services and as assistant to the executive vice president of Southern Power. In 2005, Claburn was named combinedcycle site manager at Southern Power's Plant Stanton in Orlando, Florida. She later also assumed responsibility for plants Oleander and DeSoto. In 2008, she became manager of market analysis and structuring for Southern Power, overseeing the business case analysis for new generation projects and acquisitions. In 2010, she became general manager of design in Southern Company's engineering and construction services organization.

Claburn's most recent role was director of human resources for the Southern Company operations organization. Claburn earned a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from the University of Alabama and a master's degree from Samford University.

Stan Connally

Stanley W. (Stan) Connally Jr. is executive vice president of operations at Southern Company – one of the largest producers of energy in the United States - and chairman, president and chief executive officer of Southern Company Services (SCS).

Connally oversees Southern Company’s systemwide operations, based in Birmingham, Alabama. This includes generation, transmission, engineering and construction services, commercial operations, supply chain management, system planning and environmental affairs, as well as Southern Wholesale Energy and the company's Southern Linc and Southern Telecom telecommunications businesses. As CEO of SCS, Connally is responsible for the primary shared services activities, administrative functions and budget management for SCS. He is responsible for ensuring the alignment of information technology and operations functions to create strategies that deliver increased value to customers.

He is dedicated to helping ensure employees under his leadership are able to work safely, provide value and continuously improve through a shared-services model to serve all Southern Company subsidiaries and their customers.

Pete Sena

Pete Sena was appointed executive vice president and chief nuclear officer (CNO) of Southern Nuclear in July 2019.

Prior to joining Southern Nuclear, he served as president and CNO of PSEG Nuclear beginning in March 2016. During his tenure, PSEG Nuclear’s Hope Creek and Salem 1 nuclear generating stations both completed the first breaker-to-breaker runs in their operating history. Hope Creek also returned to the INPO excellence category in 2018.
