9:00 a.m. -1:00 p.m.- Charles B. Henson Preserve at Johnson's Creek

Tour part of a 2,400-acre conservation project that aims to bring caving, hiking and more to North Georgia.

Visit property owned and managed by the Southeastern Cave Conservancy Inc. and the Georgia/Alabama Land Trust. Highlights include 40 caves, among the highest concentration in the Southeast, forest restoration and invasive species treatments funded by a National Fish and Wildlife Foundation Cumberland Plateau Stewardship Fund grant.

Attire: Casual with water-resistant shoes 

Difficulty: Two options, light and moderate

Option 1 - Light walking, may cross a small stream

Option 2 - Moderate uphill hike and caving opportunity

Materials: Sunglasses, hat, sunscreen, bug spray, camera
