Speaker Bio
Randall D. Hall was raised in White Plains, AL, the oldest of five children, where a strong work ethic was instilled in him by his parents who farmed in this small, rural community. At the early age of six years, Randall drove a tractor and began performing chores on the farm that would serve to mold his character and professional drive in his later years.
He graduated from White Plains High School in 1967 and promptly enlisted in the U.S. Army. His military training began at Fort Benning, GA, followed by specialty training as an engineer equipment repairman in Fort Belvoir, VA. In 1968 he was deployed to Vietnam for approximately one year, before joining a post in Germany for an additional year. Randall completed his enlistment with the U.S. Army in 1971. He returned to his hometown and began his civilian career at the Anniston Army Depot as a mechanic repairing combat trucks.
While in Germany, Mr. Hall met his future wife, Mayhar Yee, an Australian citizen. They were married in 1973 and relocated to Sydney, Australia where they began their family, raising daughter, Brandi Edwards and son, Travers Hall.
Mr. Hall’s career path led him to eventual employment with Waste Management International where he rose in rank to state manager. One of his greatest achievements was his leadership role in the design, construction and operation of a Complete Waste Disposal and Recycling System for the city of Brisbane, Queensland, Australia.
In 1994, Mr. Hall returned to the United States, drawn back to his roots of farming land and cattle. In 2002, Randall and Mayhar opened CAVCO, Inc., an industrial pipe, valve and fitting supply house, with only one employee and a barn for a warehouse. Today, CAVCO, Inc. has grown to locations in Bon Air, AL, Lake Charles, LA and Houston, TX, employing approximately fifty people. CAVCO, Inc. services a wide range of industrial customers including but not limited to power generation, mining and paper mill companies, along with chemical plants and landfill operations.
