James Hannick joined the U.S. Navy as a nuclear trained electrician in 2000. He served on three submarines during his career and retired as a Chief Petty Officer in 2020. In February 2020, he began a DOD Skillbridge apprenticeship with Georgia Power at Plant McManus. After completing the apprenticeship that May, he began working as a general plant operator at Plant McManus on June 29, 2020. In addition to his current role as plant operator, he also serves as the Coastal Region Generation DE&I chairperson. James and his wife, Tiffany have three children – Paige, Nathan and Garrett.
