Benjamin Chu is an engineer in the Environmental Solutions group in T&PS. In his current role, he leads process safety reviews for Southern Company’s natural gas storage and battery energy storage systems. He also provides technical support for renewable natural gas projects and various carbon capture initiatives. Previously, he supported the design, implementation, and optimization of air quality control equipment. He joined Southern Company as a co-op student in 2012 and returned as a full time employee in 2015 after completing his Bachelor of Chemical Engineering at Auburn University.
