Dan is a 22-year veteran of the United States Air Force where he worked with all types of fixed and deployable communication systems. Upon retirement, Dan joined Southern Company as an Instrument and Controls Technician at Plant Crist where he worked for 12 years. He then moved to the Vogtle expansion project as an I&C instructor where he taught the first class of technicians and engineers the skills needed to maintain the control systems on the AP1000. The last 10 years, as a part of the I&C Tech Services team, he has worked on guidelines and standards, conducted DCS health assessments as part of Fleet Review Board, was instrumentally involved in cybersecurity related efforts on the Ovation control systems and returned to Vogtle for a temporary time to support Initial Test Program for Unit 4 startup and commissioning. Dan is also an Ovation User’s Group Auxiliary Board member.
