Dan is a 22-year veteran of the United States Air Force where he worked with all types of fixed and deployable communication systems. Upon retirement, Dan joined Southern Company as an Instrument and Controls Technician at Plant Crist where he worked for 12 years. He then moved to the Vogtle expansion project as an I&C instructor where he taught the first class of technicians and engineers the skills needed to maintain the control systems on the AP1000. The last 7 years, as a part of the I&C Tech Services team, he has worked on guidelines and standards, conducted DCS health assessments as part of Fleet Review Board, and was instrumentally involved in cybersecurity related efforts on the Ovation control systems. Dan is also an Auxiliary Board member on the Ovation User Group board which plans the annual User Group meeting attended by users from all process industries around the world.
