Chris started his career as a co-op student in the SCS Generating Plant Performance group in 1994. With a couple of breaks along the way, he has spent the time since working in the T&PS organization in the area of plant circulating water system design and operation. In his current role as Principal Engineer, he provides guidance and input for cooling system equipment for Southern Company’s coal, natural gas, and nuclear generating fleet.
Chris has served on multiple industry task groups and code committees related to condensers, cooling towers, and other cooling system equipment and testing, and he recently completed a two-year term as President of the Cooling Technology Institute. He holds a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering from Auburn University and a MA in English from UAB, and he is a registered Professional Engineer.
