Austin is the newest member of the Earth Science group. Austin has a B.S. in Geology and an M.S. in Engineering Science (emphasis in hydrogeology) from the University of Mississippi. He is a licensed professional geologist in the states of Alabama and Mississippi. Prior to joining Southern Company, he spent seven years employed with consultants P.E. LaMoreaux & Associates and TTL, Inc. based in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. Austin has extensive experience in the acquisition, execution, and evaluation of data for subsurface site characterizations/investigations for hydrogeological and geotechnical applications. His skills and interests are focused on hydrologic processes relating to groundwater/surface water interactions and relationships. Since joining the Southern Company Earth Science group as a Geologist, Austin has been responsible for managing and supporting sites for the CCR groundwater team in Alabama.
