Rich Schneider works for Alabama Power Company as a Supervisor of the Equipment Testing Group responsible for electrical testing of transformers, breakers, arrestors and batteries. This group contains the SME’s for transformer, bushings, LTC’s, battery, charger, breaker and transmission line maintenance. The group has now been expanded to include condition-based maintenance monitor development, installation, and maintenance. Rich has been in his current role for 2 years. Previously he worked as a supervisor in Substation Support for 5 years and in Protection and Control for 15 years. Rich graduated from the United States Merchant Marine Academy with a degree in Marine Engineering
