Trey has both a Bachelor’s degree and a Master’s Degree in Geology from Auburn University, where his primary interests were structural geology and geophysics. After graduation, Trey joined Wood Environment & Infrastructure Solutions, Inc. in Nashville. While there, he worked as a project geologist on a variety of projects and programs, including the TVA CCR baseline sampling project. He transferred to Charlotte, NC in 2018 where he obtained his professional license and continued to work for a diverse range of government, energy/utility, and private industry clients. Trey joined Southern Company Services in October 2020, and in his current role Trey works with the groundwater team supporting ash pond closures and other environmental compliance projects across our territories.
