Senior Engineer at the Barry Combined Cycle Plant. He is responsible for owning and managing all capital projects, capital budget, and system ownership of the natural gas system. Austin graduated from The Georgia Institute of Technology in 2014 with a Bachelors of Science in Environmental Engineering. Austin started working for Southern Company as an intern at Gulf Power Environmental Affairs in 2013 and accepted a full time role as an Engineer at Red Hills Power Plant in 2014. Austin joined the Plant Barry team in 2018 where he has worked as system owner and system engineer across various plant systems and units. Austin enjoys spending time with his family, hunting, and fishing.
