Chris has over 34 years’ experience in the Heavy Structural Steel design industry. He is a Certified Class 1 Structural Steel and Bridge Designer by the “National Institute of Steel Detailers”. Driven by his attention to detail, he takes pride in providing the best design package for Fabrication and Erection possible. As the Substation Structural LPE, his goals have been to update the Southern Company Standards for all voltages throughout SCS electric service territories. All structures are designed using the current ASCE 113 “Substation Structure Design Guide”. With the new SCS Substation Standards having multiple stakeholders, Chris has been heavily involved implementing the new communication plan. Giving each stakeholder ownership has helped overcome resistance to change.
