Destin is an Operations Team Leader at Plant Victor Daniel. He is responsible for the leadership and development of fifteen IBEW covered Combined Boiler/Turbine Operators and the reliability of Plant Daniel Combined Cycle Units.

After graduating from Pascagoula High School in 1999, he joined Mississippi Power as an Auxiliary Operator in 2000. Once he completed the Journeyman Development Program and promoted to Journeyman Operator in 2008, he was later promoted to an Operations Team Leader in 2011. Since then, Destin has served in various leadership roles including Outage Manager, Unit Owner, Interim Fuels Team Leader, MPC Human Performance Champion and Interim Operation and Maintenance Manager at Daniel Combined Cycle. Destin transferred to Alabama Power Company Plant Barry in 2020. He served in a Maintenance Team Leader role for Barry Units 1 through 5 and provided leadership to both mechanical and electrical maintenance employees. Destin transferred to Mississippi Power Company in the spring of 2021 and is currently serving as the Unit Owner for Daniel Combined Cycle. In these roles, he has provided leadership to both IBEW covered employees and exempt employees.
