Gavin has 23 years of experience in the electric motor and reliability field. He started his career as an AC/DC motor winder. He transitioned to Alabama Power Miller Steam plant as a CBM infrared specialist in 2009. He transitioned to the Southern Company Performance and Reliability team in 2015. In his current role he supports all of Southern Company generation, the plant CBM teams, and the Monitoring and Diagnostics Center. He is recognized by Southern Company and his peers as an SME in motor diagnostics and infrared thermography.
