Herb Springer has worked for Southern Company for 27+ years. After working as a co-op student at Plant Miller, he worked in the CBM and Machinery Diagnostics group supporting the fleet. Eventually, he returned to Miller filling various roles including support of the scrubber project. In 2010, Herb joined the Kemper Startup group where he helped lead the commissioning efforts in the gasifier structure. Since Kemper, he has worked in the Project Engineering group leading engineering efforts for ash pond closures, PowerSecure, and Southern Company Gas.
