Joe is a registered Professional Engineer with 12 years of design experience in civil site design and structural design projects.  Joe began his career in the civil design group in 2010 and was responsible for the design of substation projects where he gained broad experience in design of concrete, steel, and aluminum structures as well as site access, hydro, and earthwork design.  In 2017, Joe worked in the Transmission Line design department where he worked as a senior engineer in the transmission organization. In 2018, Joe returned to the civil design group and was the lead engineer for all APC grading projects. Joe is currently the lead engineer for the Birmingham and Southern TMC areas, as all as the lead product engineer for civil site design and oil containment. Joe creates process guides, training materials, and technical support for the other design leads in the civil/structural team who provide SME expertise and design solutions for projects across the Southern Company territory.
