Grant Martin serves as a project engineer within the Environmental solutions group and currently manages the engineering aspects of the Plant McDonough and Plant Arkwright CCR Closure projects. Grant is a professional engineer licensed in Georgia and a certified project management professional. He holds a master's degree in geotechnical engineering from the University of Texas and a degree in Civil Engineering from Auburn. Prior to joining Southern Company in 2019, Grant worked as a geotechnical engineer with Golder Associates on a broad range of geotechnical design projects including CCR closures, new generation facilities, dams, oil and gas pipelines, bridge foundations, and other heavy civil infrastructure projects. At home, Grant and his wife, Lauren, enjoy chasing their two-year old son, Jonathan, all around Atlanta.
