Mark Faurot is a Principal Engineer in the Technical Services Organization. He is responsible for the development of I&C standards for the Southern Company fleet of fossil/hydro and renewables generating facilities. He also provides I&C related consulting services for conceptual and design engineering, control configuration, I&C strategy, equipment procurement, and asset protection directly to our power plants. Mark represents Southern Company on industry committees (ISA, NFPA 85, EPRI) and provides leadership for the Generation I&C Technical Network in addition to I&C related fleet initiatives.
Mark began his career with Southern Company in 1995, Mark has worked in I&C on multiple environmental and retrofit projects. He was also the I&C team leader at Plant Gaston.
Mark received his B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Auburn University. Mark is also a registered professional engineer in the state of Alabama.
