Kay Harlow’s career spans engineering, power generation, and economic development in the utility and public sectors. Kay holds a degree in Industrial Engineering from Auburn University, and an MBA from Samford University.
Kay has worked with a variety of Southern Company organizations and projects. Kay was a site manager for a Scrubber Project and led a team to increase the effectiveness of the change management process within Engineering & Construction Services. She led a team to create and monitor Project Performance Metrics for projects. She currently serves as survey and mapping manager where her team consistently looks to use the most effective and advanced tools to improve their survey related offerings. Her group has been using Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV’s) for survey projects since 2016. Kay acquired her Part 107 FAA UAS certification in 2022.
