Sýmýa Edwards is a Project Manager for Transmission PMO at Southern Company Services. She joined the company in 2008 and has served in various areas of Engineering and Construction Services (E&CS), now Technical and Project Solutions (T&PS). She supports all OPCOs (APC, GPC, MPC) Transmission Departments creating and maintaining dashboards and SharePoint sites for their projects and especially focusing on the Gated Process.
Sýmýa earned a Bachelor of Engineering in Biomedical Engineering from Vanderbilt University and a Master of Engineering in Information Engineering and Management from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
Sýmýa is a big DEI advocate. She has held leadership positions with VOICE, a Georgia Power Company employee relations group, as well as the T&PS IAT. Currently she is serving as the Engagement Chair.
Sýmýa is a “new” mom of a bubbling baby girl, Emmaleigh (Emily). She enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, and volunteering.
