Retired Army Lieutenant General Keith M. Huber is the senior advisor for veterans and leadership initiatives and a distinguished visiting professor at Middle Tennessee State University (MTSU).

With a family history of military service, Huber followed in the steps of his grandfather who served in World War I and father who served in World War II.

A graduate of the United States Military Academy (West Point) in 1975, Huber served 38 years of active duty with the U.S. Army as an Infantryman and Green Beret. During that time, he held the rank of General Officer for 14 years. His oversees tours of duty included Panama, Nicaragua, El Salvador, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Haiti, Honduras, Kosovo and Afghanistan.

He is Special Forces and Ranger qualified, and has earned the Combat Infantryman, Special Operations Combat Diver, Master Parachutist, Air Assault and Joint Chiefs of Staff badges.

During his time at MTSU, Huber created the Charlie and Hazel Daniels Veterans and Military Family Center, the largest and most comprehensive veterans center on an academic campus in the nation.
