Wendi Shoop is a successful human resources professional who has over 34 years of experience in leadership consulting and professional development. Retired from Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Alabama after 27 years of service, Wendi currently works for Southern Company as a Human Resource Business Partner (HRBP). She is a graduate of Faulkner University with a bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, as well as holding certifications as a Project Management Professional (PMP) and Certified Product Manager (CPM). Wendi is uniquely equipped to provide coaching, process improvement as well as leadership skills development to all levels of employees with a focus in organizational behavior management.

With her background in professional development, Wendi has demonstrated strong teamwork by partnering with and providing support to the APC, GPC, and SCS Talent Management teams. This partnership allowed for tremendous cost savings for the organization in the development and facilitation of courses for the new supervisor programs as well as leader of leader programs offered in each operating company.

Wendi is married to Ken Shoop and will celebrate their 30th wedding anniversary in February 2022. She is the mother of two, Jonathan (27) married to Courtney who has her grandson Audie (15 months) and Kathryne (23). Her hobbies are focused around her family and their interests including old car restorations, rodeo as well as college athletics and racing. She and her family live on a small farm in Chelsea, Alabama.
