Jason McDade has 20+ years’ experience working within the Real Estate industry in land surveying, mortgage brokering, fee and right-of-way research, acquisition, contract negotiations, and management. For the past 10 years, I have worked for Alabama Power’s Right of Way Services department managing its Transmission right of way assets in Southern Division. I am an Army Infantry veteran, member of the International Right of Way Association (IRWA) and have earned a Bachelor of Science in International Business from Troy University.
In 2014, I began flying drones as a hobby and in 2016, I became a FAA certified UAS pilot, shortly after Part 107 took effect. In 2018, I became certified through Southern Air (now Aerial Services) to fly commercially for Alabama Power Company in support of its mission. Since then, I have logged over 50+ hours of system flight time and leverage UAS technology during storm response, and in support of other internal organizations such as ROW Services, Southern TMC, Line Design, Risk Services, Construction, Vegetation Management, Environmental Affairs, and Corporate Real Estate.
