At Alabama Power, we realize our commitment to the state goes beyond providing electricity. It extends to the people of Alabama and the communities we serve. The Alabama Power Service Organization (APSO) is a nonprofit volunteer organization made up of Alabama Power, Southern Nuclear, SouthernLINC and Southern Company Services employees and their families. By giving their time and resources, APSO volunteers are creating positive change and strengthening the communities we call home.

Each year, APSO volunteers invest more than 40,000 hours of time to their communities. We connect to communities through other nonprofit organizations and partner with more than 200 of them annually. With more than 6,000 members in 9 chapters across the state, APSO is a powerful source of good.
