I have a deep sense of appreciation for those who serve(d) in the United States military. I'm proud of you, and proud of the flag you defend. You train body and mind rigorously to be ready to answer the call of liberty and justice. You selflessly sacrifice to protect those who cannot protect themselves. You are heroes not only to Americans, but also to many around the world.
We thank you dearly!

Thank you, to all the veterans out there who serve, and have served, to protect and serve the people of this great nation in which we are so blessed to live. My dad, Cpl. Isaac Wombles, received a Purple Heart, a Bronze Star, several ribbons and a letter from President Harry Truman for his service during WWII. He was an anti-tank gunner with the 83rd Infantry "Thunderbolt" Division. They landed on Omaha Beach just 12 days after the D-Day invasion. My dad suffered injuries in his legs and feet, which kept him in hospitals for over 2 years. They thought he would never walk again, but he did.

I am so grateful for the men and women that serve in our armed forces. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart and may God bless you and keep you safe.

As the wife of a military member I want to say thank you to not only the service members, but to their families as well. Many don't realize what it is like to raise a family with your spouse away for months or years. It's truly a sacrifice for the entire family. A big thank you from my military family to the other families who have sacrificed so much for our freedom!

Although I have always been grateful for the sacrifices our military and military families make, the depth of those sacrifices really hit home with me when I lost my father-in-law almost two years ago. He was buried in Arlington National Cemetary, a place I had visited as a teenager but saw with completely different eyes as an adult. I saw patriotism, love of country, brotherhood, bravery and tremendous sacrifice. There really is nothing I can say that adequately conveys the level of gratitude owed to those who sacrifice so much for so many. I can and do however, keep each and every member of our military, past and present, as well as their families, in my prayers. May God bless you all.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for fighting and serving and going to no mans land where you often have to go to protect our country and its interest. God Bless and keep you all. One of the most memorable vacations I took was to Washington D.C, to Arlington Cemetery....what a humbling experience and to the Tomb of the Unknown solder. I also went to Pearl Harbor....again what a humbling experience. Thank you Thank you!

Serving in the Air Force as an Air Traffic Controller in the 47th Operations Support Squadron at Laughlin Air Force Base, Texas was one of the best decisions I made in life. It was an essential step to becoming who I am today and helped me build a foundation for the values which have helped me here at Southern Company.
I was blessed to come from a military family where my father was a Special Forces Combat Controller and my brother served as an Air Traffic Controller. All the males from our family served in various roles, such as a C-17 Aircraft Commander, F-22 mechanic, and a Navy Master Chief Petty Officer. It is great to see where my friends who enlisted with me are now and all the places they have been. I want to encourage any young adult who wants to learn valuable skills to consider enlisting and taking advantage of an opportunity to do great things and gain skills which will provide a way to live a great life.

Thank you to everyone who has served and made sacrifices for all of us. For me, it was a pleasure.
