Why:  External Affairs is committed to supporting the Alabama Power’s Company's Shared Responsibility Plan which includes creating opportunities for growth and development for internal talent including underrepresented groups. In an environment where employees feel respected, valued, engaged, and included. We want our employees to have the opportunity to create connections through networking, skill building, and Student of the Business.

What:  Cultivate growth and development within the External Affairs organization that aligns with organizational employee development focus areas through deeper exposure to the business and targeted training.

How:  Employee development program that reflects the current and future needs of our External Affairs business, strengthening the skills and knowledge of employees and preparing them for optimal performance through Business Acumen and Professional Development sessions.

Who:  Self nominated employees who want to increase their knowledge, skills and abilities to drive themselves and the business forward.

•15-20 participant's total.

Where:  Sessions are planned to be in person pending reentry guidelines.
