ABOUT ABC TRUST
The ABC Trust is a 501(c)4 social welfare organization, established by Alabama Power in 1992 to help income constrained Alabamians cover their energy costs. The Trust provides resources and education through partnerships with the Alabama Department of Economic and Community Affairs (ADECA), Community Action Agencies, and other social services organizations.
The Trust operates its own investment committee and is funded by Alabama Power Company investments. Importantly, ABC Trust dollars are not derived from ratepayer contributions.
