In support of Lead as a System, Talent Management is pleased to announce the launch of the Leadership Academy’s Accelerate Program, a newly established initiative designed to foster the growth and development of our future leaders. This program expands the number of opportunities available for aspiring leaders and is a testament to our commitment to nurturing talent within our organization.

Program Structure:

• Networking across the Southern Company system
• Southern Company-wide professional skill building
• Operating Company focused learning on understanding the business

Accelerate is designed for individual contributors exempt grade levels 4-6 with an interest in leadership to increase business acumen, professional skill building, networking and relationship building across Southern Company. Through topic-specific sessions and assessments, participants will gain a better understanding of the company while developing skills and growing their network.

Seats are managed by each OpCo, and you are self-nominating as an Alabama Power Company employee. We invite eligible individual contributors who aspire to be in leadership roles to self-nominate for the Accelerate Program.

The program is up to 9 months in length.
