If you had to choose between repairing your car or paying your child's daycare, which would you do?

How would you buy food or pay your rent if you lost your job?

Many families face these challenges every day.

The virtual poverty simulation allows participants to experience what it is like to make critical choices to support basic human needs when resources are limited.

This month, the Alabama Business Charitable Trust will partner with United Way of Central Alabama to provide an opportunity for employees to participate in a virtual poverty simulation called "Making Choices."

The session will:

  • Provide information about poverty in Alabama.
  • Build awareness about the challenges faced by low-income families.
  • Provide insight about communicating empathetically with low-income customers.

Please join us by registering to attend one of the following sessions:

Tuesday, January 18 | 2-3 p.m.

Friday, January 21 | 10-11 a.m.
