I have a Brother in the Army and another in the Air Force and to say that we are proud of them is an understatement, but through this personal connection I have learned just how much of a sacrifice it is to be in the Military especially when you have a young family who could really use you at home.

He served two tours in Vietnam and gave 27 years of his life serving in the U.S. Air Force. I am very proud of him for his service. Being the son of a now retired Army Colonel I was fortunate enough to be raised in a community of military families. They taught my siblings and I, respect, honor, sacrifice, discipline and the importance of a strong community. As an adult I spent some time working alongside the Air Force in Afghanistan as a contractor. I saw firsthand the sacrifice that each soldier makes as they take a tour of duty over-seas.
