Southern Company UAS Conference 2020 Shifts to Virtual Event

In light of on-going developments with COVID-19 Southern Company has decided to move the 2020 UAS Conference to a fully online, virtual experience that will take place on Monday, August 31 - Thursday, September 3. We believe this is the safest approach for the well-being of our audience and we are excited that a virtual event makes it possible to broaden the learning opportunities and engagement with the industry at this time.

This conference will bring together UAS stakeholders and industry partners from across the Southern system. You will hear first-hand how drone technology continues to bring value, reduce cost, and increase safety across the system while improving workflows, efficiency and reliability. The agenda will include presentations from Adrianne Collins, senior vice president of power delivery, System Air Unmanned Leadership, internal users, and our industry partners to include:

• Skyward, a Verizon Company
• Drone Deploy
• GRESCO
• Skydio

This will be a great opportunity for UAS stakeholders and enthusiasts to learn about the different UAS efforts across the company and share their uses cases and lessons learned.  In addition, there will be specialized training available for current and upcoming remote pilots provided at no cost to the business unit.
